Vale June Arnold

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of June Arnold, a beloved member of the Oak Flats Tennis Club, who passed away peacefully on 1 January 2025 at the age of 95.

June was an extraordinary woman who dedicated much of her life to the sport she loved.  As a competition and social tennis player, she continued to play well into her 80s.  June also served as the secretary of Oak Flats Tennis Club for many years, leaving an indelible mark on the club and its history.  Her love for tennis began at the age of 18, introduced to the game by her father – a passion that would remain with her for life.

June leaves behind an incredible legacy, including her five children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; all of whom cherished her vibrant spirit and love.

A celebration of June’s life will be held on Monday, 13 January 2025, at 10:00am at Hansen and Cole Funerals, Kembla Grange.  For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available via livestream.

We extend our deepest condolences to June’s family and friends during this time.
