Conferrance of life membership – Dale Wood

Congratulations to Dale Wood, who was made a Life Member of the Kiama & Shellharbour District Tennis Association at Monday’s AGM.

Dale joined the Oak Flats Tennis Club in 1970 and played in numerous competitions over the past five decades.  In 1987 Dale joined the Oak Flats Tennis Club Committee serving as Secretary, Junior Development Officer, and President, and where she is also a life member.

Dale also played Ladies midweek competition tennis with Warilla Bowl and Oakleigh Park Tennis Clubs, playing in both the KSDTA & Wollongong competitions until knee surgery intervened in 2016.

In 1985 Dale was elected onto the Kiama & Shellharbour District Tennis Association committee and has held the following positions of Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President, Assistant Secretary and Committee member until 2020, thereby providing the association with 35 years of valued service.
